Appendium Ltd, a successful software development company in the Securities Financing arena is looking for Senior Application Developers following the sale of a licence of its flagship Appendium Portfolio to a large multinational Bank.

You will have a proven track record in:

  • Delivering complex applications in the financial industry (ideally Securities Financing)
  • Using J2EE / Spring in a multi-tier environment
  • Familiar with multi-threading and scalability issues
  • Using Hibernate for a large system
  • Using XML/JAXB for interface work
  • Using Maven/Ant to build the application (potentially Atlassian Cloud)
  • Using JBoss as the delivery platform
Nice to have:
  • Spring Rich Client for GUI
  • Mule ESB
  • Dozer
  • Swing
  • JFreeChart / JTreeMap
  • Experience interfacing with Equilend, Pirum and other equity finance systems

You will be:

  • Self-motivated
  • Eager to learn
  • Pragmatic and yet thinking about the correct solution
  • Able to work fast and "see a task through"
  • Able to work on both GUI and Server side (although the majority will be on server side)
  • Willing to take responsibilities in a small and dynamic company
